Sabrage (sa-bradz). The act of opening a bottle, usually Champagne, with a sabre.
At this formal dinner, Middlethorpe Hall will become a Caveau de Sabrage. This is our first major Sabrage occasion and it will be attended by the UK and Ireland Ambassador and Knight Commander of the Confrerie du Sabre d'Or.
